Houston's Best September
Houston's housing market continued on a roll through September although signs are pointing to a slowdown in the fourth quarter. HAR reported 6,691 single family homes sold in September which is a 3.5% increase over last year making it the best September on record.

According to a RealtyTrac report, living near a specialty grocery store like Trader Joes is linked to higher property values. This is interesting article and bodes well for the many inner loop residences near new stores like Sprouts, Central Market etc.

Houston Housing Market Stands Out
According to the Houston Chronicle, Houston home values increased more than all other U.S. metro areas except one during the first 3 months of 2015. Values in Houston went up 12.4% over a year ago. See the full report here.

January Housing Market Report
According to HAR, the January housing market remains robust. Housing inventory in Houston remains at historically low levels. Single family homes reached record high sales prices for January. Properties priced over $150,000 saw year-over-year increase in sales. See more here: HAR Report.
